Hostel and breakfast is nice. Gym is excellent, but is charged on top. Major downside for us was that there was no AC in the room, the room thus was uncomfortably warm during the night.
It was nice for a hostel. New furniture, very clean rooms, beautiful views, good breakfast.
It's a little bit far from the centre, but it's still OK. No soap in the bathroom nor in the toilet.
What a hidden gem! I expected much less from the word hostel, but the room was very modern, large enough, spotless clean, warm and welcoming. The receptionist was nice and the common area is tremendous! Tons of board games, shuffleboard, pool tables, and lots of hot or cold snacks available
Most people probably only use this on the way through, but honestly, I could imagine a couple staying here for 3-4 days and exploring Oslo. On the other hand, public transport is not well-connected here, so maybe not
Really nice place. Super friendly people at the reception. You can use the kitchen and the washing machine for free! Really nice games we played table football and the what is it. Shuffle board table game. Awesome. Nice area of Oslo. Close to public transport
Perfect choice for an accommodation in Oslo. Very big rooms (it is a boarding school so huge bedrooms). You can use the washing machines and the staff was very helpful. The view is astonishing. Everything about the stay here from service, rooms, boardgames, breakfast and view was great. Also well connected to the city center but mind the fact that it is a quite far.
Tip for first time visitors, even if Google maps tells you to get off the bus at Gulldalen, stay on the bus for another two stops and get off at Ronningen. If you get off at Gulldalen you will have to carry your luggage down a 200+ wooden steps on a very abrupt staircase through the woods :).
Amazing place very beautiful location, definitely worth the price! Beautiful rooms worthy of a 5 star hotel review, did not expect it to be this good! The pictures are not taken to lie, they are very truthful.
Staff was very friendly, especially Victoria the receptionist. She helped us out with the mistakes hostelworld lured us in. We got our room changed to one that hostelworld promised us. We had amazing view in our room of the lake nearby.
Breakfast was meh.
Little bit far from the city centre, but you can take a cab for almost nothing. Public transport is available close by (10-15min walk).
Oslo is a great city so book this hostel!
Would recommend this spot for travelling friends.
Great inexpensive by Norway's standard. Clean I had a single room well equipped and loads of space and extra power points. Common areas had big TV,library,games etc.Each 4 single rooms had two toilets and showers so no issues plus each floor had a kitchen, 2 washers and dryers ( free) and ironing room.
Motorcycles can usually be parked around the back of main building under cover.
Spar supermarket is closest food outlet ( they only serve breakfast and sell lollies and ice cream) but do have 24/7 tea & coffee free.
